Adoption Index

The Adoption Index measures the percentage of trained team members who are actively using approved brand kits, templates, and governance processes. Training alone is not enough — adoption measures whether the training actually changed behavior.

The metric is calculated by tracking usage of approved templates, components, and toolkits against the total number of trained users who are expected to use them. An Adoption Index of 85% or above is required for Quality Mark eligibility.

Adoption is tracked quarterly as part of the Field Audit process. Low adoption signals a gap between knowledge and practice — the team knows the standard but is not following it. Common causes include inaccessible toolkits, outdated templates, unclear naming, or lack of accountability for compliance.

Why it matters

A Brand Master Book that sits on a shelf is worthless. The Adoption Index is the measure of whether the system is actually in use. High adoption means reduced rework, faster approvals, and consistent output. Low adoption means the investment in brand governance is not yet delivering returns.
